Security Officer Exposed Firearms Training and Requalification
Exposed Firearms
This 16-hour course is approved by the California State Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. Guards who wish to carry a firearm while on duty are required to complete this course.
Exposed Firearms Requalification
Exposed Firearm Permit holders are required to qualify four times during the life of the two year permit. This required two hour course reviews Escalation and De-Escalation Force as well as a range qualification. Permit holder must complete two (2) qualifications per year of the permit, and each qualification must be at least four months apart.
